Sideline Theology is a blog designed to process sporting news from a religious perspective. Many events in the world of sports have a significance far deeper than we often realize. Sideline Theology examines those deeper threads and attempts to glean important truths from them. Sideline Theology was started in 2014 by Jeff Fiet.

A little more about Jeff:
IMG_6191Jeff serves as a pastor of a rural church in Iowa. He is married to a smart and beautiful woman who has her own blog and they have two wonderful children. Jeff has been writing since he was a kid, starting with poems and songs and strange parodies of songs or movies scripts (e.g. Don and Ed’s Bodacious Odyssey Through Time). He has a deep love for sports, particularly Chicago Cubs baseball, and is excited about this opportunity to combine his love of sports with theology.

Jeff collects SPAM paraphernalia (yes, the lunch meat), is an avid reader and writer of fantasy fiction novels, and enjoys the occasional 5K race.
